The Piney is centered around the 1.1 million acres of protected land in New Jersey known as the Pine Barrens and named after the nickname given to those who live there. Surronded by two of the biggest metropolitans in the Northeast United States, the Pine Barrens has a unqiue and dense ecosystem that is filled with rare wildlife, vast forests, and farmlands. The collection is meant to bring more attention and awareness to the Pine Barrens for those unfamiliar with the area.
