the other side

The Other Side is centered around the housing crisis, homelessness and a lack of historic preservation specifically in heavily segregated areas of Savannah, Georgia. Titled “The Other Side” because these issues are not typically shown on social media or through news outlets. Families who spent generations in the city were forced to leave their homes due to the rising cost of living as well as a lack of preservation in the areas that they lived. The goal is to bring attention to these issues in the hopes that more can be done to help these individuals and the community they call home. All images were shot on various 35mm film from 2021-2024 and shot on a Canon Ae1 and a Canon F1.
